OLEH Demo
On-line Electronic Help (OLEH), an interactive electronic textbook, provides real-time access to critical anesthesia-related information. OLEH brings clinical decision support information where anesthesiologists need it most – right on the patient monitor screen, while taking care of the patient – contributing to error reduction and greater efficiencies with practical and more comprehensive knowledge upon which to base care decisions.

About OLEH:
The OLEH Project
On-Line Electronic Help (OLEH)
Interactive Electronic Textbook for Anesthesia Care
This project was initiated by the European Society of Anaesthesiologists (ESA) (www.euroanesthesia.org) in order to promote patient safety in the operating room. The OLEH is intended to help the anesthesiologist in real time to conduct a safe practice by offering easy and immediate access to relevant textbook information. As such, it is just an electronic book designed to be of practical use during the normal work flow of the anesthesia provider. It is our belief and hope that Point-of-Care information should become an integral part of the unique work environment of anesthesiologists and other anesthesia providers.
The OLEH project was initiated by the Editor, Azriel Perel, Professor and Chairman, Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv University, Tel Hashomer, Israel, and prepared mostly by members of this department (see list of contributors). Members and designees of the various scientific sub-committees of the ESA have reviewed the material included in this project and added valuable comments and advice (see list of reviewers). It is the aim of the ESA to produce further updates of the OLEH which will be distributed by your monitoring manufacturer. Comments, suggestions or feedback that may improve further editions, or reports on situations in which the OLEH was found to be helpful (or not), are welcome by the Editor at perelao@sheba.health.gov.il
