Xcelera’s Ultrasound lab management module gives access to all the tools your ultrasound lab needs to enhance efficiency and patient diagnosis- all from a single workspace.
Xcelera accepts cardiovascular DICOM SR images from Philips cardiovascular ultrasound systems and other vendors. It allows you to create labelled measurements directly on the Xcelera system. This option will provide two carotid reporting profiles.
Xcelera also provides a ‘carotid smart chart’ format for entering user-defined percent stenosis statements based on measurement/calculation values, which can be automatically integrated into the clinical report.
Flexible Workspace
Xcelera offers several fully customizable viewing environments, including both single and dual monitor configuration.
Manage measurements and calculations
Xcelera’s enhanced measurement configuration tool gives you full flexibility over calculations and labelling of measurements. The measurement mapping tool gives you the option to map measurements from ultrasound systems that meet the DICOM SR standard structure* to measurements in the Xcelera database. The database is automatically updated and the results can be displayed on the clinical report.
*For the following - TID 5200 – Adult Echo cardiology Procedure Report, TID 5100 – Vascular Ultrasound Report, TID 995300 – Philips Pediatric Ultrasound Report, TID 5220 – Pediatric, Fetal and Congenital Cardiac Ultrasound Report
Support for Intra Cardiac Echo and IntraVascular UltraSound
Xcelera stores ICE and IVUS studies and supports review of these study types using the Xcelera US viewer software.
Automatic calculation of pediatric z-scores
By entering height and weight, pediatric z-scores are automatically calculated and embedded into the clinical report. Deviations are highlighted based upon research completed at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Children’s National Medical Center or a subset from Boston Children’s Hospital.
Trend cardiac ultrasound measurements
Xcelera provides a trending graph of all cardiac ultrasound measurements over time to help evaluate treatment or assess disease progression.
Wall motion scoring
Wall motion scoring clinical statements are automatically generated based on clinicians’ previous selections on wall scoring diagrams. Xcelera’s wall scoring algorithm is able to:
- Determine current wall segments with abnormal scores
- Combine these segments into sets which are anatomically contiguous
- Generate a statement for each of these sets which indicates the number of segments in the set, provides anatomic location and gives the range of scores in the set
Advanced Quantification
QLAB enables various advanced quantification in the area of 2D and 3D of US images. QLAB 8.1 with Xcelera R3.2L1 enables the transfer of data generated in QLAB 8.1 to the Xcelera database. Images will appear in the thumbnail view in Xcelera and will launch into QLAB 8.1 when opened. Predefined measurements1 and DICOM secondary captures performed in QLAB 8.1 will transfer to the Xcelera database and be displayed in the Echo work area and on the Echo report2
TomTec Image Arena 4.3 clinical applications are compatible with datasets from ultrasound systems from most major vendors. Xcelera supports data from 2D and 3D/4D clinical application packages from TomTec Image Arena. Like to QLAB, predefined measurements and DICOM secondary captures performed in TomTec 4.3 will transfer to the Xcelera database and be displayed in the Echo work area and on the Echo report.
