Early detection for life
Computer Assisted Detection (CAD) assists radiologists analyzing images to detect cancers and diseases of interest of the breast, lung and colon. With CAD suspicious regions are highlighted and marked. This steers the radiologist to review or confirm an area that may require further analysis after the initial assessment. CAD boosts detection rates - especially important with regard to lung nodule detection because of the dismal survival rate of lung cancer.

With thousands of chest x-rays performed every day, the Philips lung nodule assessment solution has the potential to turn each one into an effective early warning system.
