Description:

This course is introducing the use of the Live 3D transesophageal transducer in the echo lab and cath lab. The course is aimed at Cardiologists with a minimum experience of 20 Live 3D Echo patient examinations performed with the iE33 system. The course will include lectures, Live 3D TEE patient exams in the echo lab, attendance during interventional procedures in the cath lab, and hands-on quantification workshops. A maximum number of 4 participants will ensure an intense and effective learning experience.

 

Objectives:

Participants who complete this training will be able to understand the clinical benefit of three-dimensional transesophageal echo and will be able to interpret Live 3D TEE views. They will know how to set up the Ultrasound system for optimal data set acquisition, and how to use the QLAB quantification software for mitral valve assessment, LV function assessment, and 3D measurements. They will be able to understand the value of three-dimensional transesophageal echo in the guidance of interventional procedures like ASD and PFO closures.
