Objectives:

At the completion of the program the participant should be able to: Explain the basic fundamentals of ultrasound physics/instrumentation; Describe routine scan protocols, and measurements for performing transabdominal gynecology, endovaginal scanning, and obstetric applications; Identify normal and abnormal imaging characteristics of ovarian and uterine pathology; Identify normal fetal anatomy, apply appropriate measurement techniques and discuss commonly seen fetal abnormalities; Perform a biophysical profile examination; Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been attained.
