Syntegra

Efficient and effective planning

Multi-modality image registration assists clinicians in more accurate identification of target tumors. Syntegra multi-modality registration software automatically superimposes physiologic data (such as PET) with anatomic data (CT or MR), eliminating the need for clinicians to manually identify and match the information. This real-time exchange of data aids in tumor identification, shortens the radiation therapy planning cycle, and results in more confident diagnoses.

Integration with Pinnacle³

As an integral part of Philips Pinnacle³ radiation therapy treatment planning system, Syntegra helps bridge the gap between diagnosis and treatment. For example—the radiation oncologist can import PET/CT tumor contours into a Pinnacle³ treatment plan and review and use the same displays and regions of interest that have been identified by the radiologist.

Features and Benefits

The Syntegra toolkit includes: Fast, reproducible, automated 3D registration—Syntegra promotes enhanced accuracy though the use of accelerated mutual information, cross-correlation and local-correlation algorithms. Users can choose optimized algorithms that best serve their specific clinical application, whether it's diagnostic PET, CT and MR, or radiation oncology; Multi-modality display and review—With optimized diagnostic quality visualization of PET, CT, MR and SPECT, Syntegra allows for a consistent, user-friendly viewing environment and reporting format; Syntegra is included as part of Philips AcQSim³ CT simulation software.
