Echocardiographers requested better tools to help assess regional myocardial function, ideally offering quantitative capabilities rather than just new qualitative tools. The Strain Quantification (SQ) plug-in is intuitive and flexible, with customizable settings through the "Preferences" menu. The SQ plug-in can be utilized in many clinical applications, for example: evaluation of regional myocardial function, assessment of synchronicity and guidance during bi-ventricular pacing procedures. |
Powerful and flexible, with customizable settings through the "Preferences" menu include:
- Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) velocity mode quantification
- Evaluation of myocardial function and segmental wall analysis
- Measurement of the myocardial velocity and derivation of the strain rate, strain, and displacement along user-defined M-lines
- Drawing capability up to four M-lines at a time
- User-defined and automatic (using speckle tracking algorithms) M-line motion compensation to follow myocardial motion
- Point of Interest (POI) tool that obtains values from any point on the M-mode display
- Two display formats:
- "Virtual" M-mode display
- Graph display
- Automatic subdivision of M-line into a customizable number of subregions
- Averages up to 20 cardiac cycles in both virtual and graph displays
