The Brilliance advantage
While X-ray technology is still the first line defense, CT is valuable for difficult or questionable cases. Our exclusive RapidView reconstruction techniques deliver fast, high resolution images of the bones, spine and soft tissue.
Our advanced post-processing software provides MPR (Multi-Planar Reconstructions) and 3D tools for easy, quick, and accurate diagnosis. For diagnostic appraisals, review of pre-operative dynamics, or post-operative checkups, 3DCT imaging allows greater flexibility to view musculoskeletal structures.

Brilliance Workspace
Nearly all planning, scanning, visualization and archiving can be done right at the scanner’s Brilliance Workspace. And the Extended Brilliance Workspace (EBW) allows most of the same functions to be completed away from the CT console.
Our Brilliance Workspace is designed to handle large datasets generated by large volume acquisitions, while speeding the "time to diagnosis" or "time to plan."
- Brilliance workspace makes it easy to switch between any rendering mode, or launch any application with a single click of the mouse.
- Useful scan protocols can be created by automating frequently requested procedures.
- Philips proprietary volume intensity projection (VIP) algorithm gives greater emphasis to structures closer to the eye-point, clearly displaying important anatomy.
- User-defined pre-set protocols with post-processing improves workflow by automatically opening the relevant post processing applications for a specific type of exam. For example: automatic bone and soft tissue reconstructions, and automatic launching of spine studies in MPR.
- Advanced clinical solutions allow delivery of clinical results more quickly and easily.
Expanded utilization
Several EBW advanced clinical solutions provide you with the opportunity to maximize system usage.
Single-click bone removal software automatically removes all bony structures for direct inspection of CTA datasets.
In a coordinated vascular or orthopedic surgical approach to limb trauma, such cross-discipline benefits are obvious.
Benefits
- Access virtually the same applications and images currently on dedicated workstations via a simple PC, from anywhere: PACS, operating room, office, at home and on the road.
- These aren’t just any applications, these are exclusive Philips Brilliance CT applications— smart, advanced, easy to use.
- The screen you view on your PC is the same one your team sees on the CT console or workstation, without having to purchase and site workstations throughout the hospital.
