Many laptop computers are equipped with PCMCIA ("PC-card") readers which may be used to read Forerunner cards and MCM2PC modules. In addition, many laptops may also read FR2 Series Compact Flash cards (with an adapter, see below) and XL / XLT cards, but this is not universal. In some cases, an additional card reader may be required to read FR2 series, or XL / XLT cards.
