How does SmartExam work?
The MRI does a 3D survey, recognizes the anatomy of the patient and how the patient is positioned on the table. Then, depending on what the MRI 'sees', it adapts the orientation of its planning automatically, producing consistent, reproducible images.

SmartExam: Smart teamwork We believe in working smarter, not harder. SmartExam technology works with the operator to enhance scanning ability.
1. The process begins with the settings stored in our ExamCards, specific sets of scanning protocols for various types of exams: head, knee, spine and shoulder. 2. SmartExam automatically recognizes anatomical landmarks in a survey scan of the patient, then plans the diagnostic scans related to the patient’s actual position in the magnet. 3. The operator defines the spatial resolution, and SmartExam does the rest by automatically maintaining resolution and image contrast despite variations in the field-of-view.
