Lead-free policy

RoHS directive for all our suppliers

Effective July 1, 2006 the EU Directive, 2002/95/EC, Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) specifies bans on:

  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Cadmium
  • Hexavalent chromium
  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDE)

Planning for the future
Medical devices are currently excluded from the scope of the RoHS Directive. However, in light of the applicability of this Directive to other industry categories – and the commitment by Royal Philips as a Corporation to become Lead free – it is important that Philips Healthcare (PH) prepare for the transition to RoHS-free substances.

To address assurance of supply and potential performance and reliability issues associated with the elimination of the RoHS substances in products you supply to PH, it is important that PH has factual information from you regarding your plans to become RoHS compliant. To this end, PH is requesting that you complete a short electronic survey that will help us understand your RoHS-free status and/or RoHS-free plans.

Complete our survey
In order to fully understand your company status on RoHS, PH requests you download the attached spreadsheet survey form (in Internet Explorer - right click on the link below and click save target as - now select the location and save the file).

The completion of this document is an important part of development of the PH supply base and we look forward to your cooperation in returning the requested information in a timely manner. Please submit the completed survey form to the following email address.
