PCR Eleva CosimaX

4 slot reader with simultaneous dual-side reading, plus high-resolution and low-dose imaging plates

With PCR Eleva systems you can digitize your conventional X-ray rooms. Each PCR Eleva system can be used for a wide range of applications.

 

The PCR Eleva CosimaX reader with its four slots feeding allows for throughput of up to 165 plates per hour. It is ideal for a central reader setup with multiple Eleva workspots. Its dual side reading of small imaging plates results in a 50% increase in DQE (Detective Quantum Efficiency). Therefore the PCR Eleva CosimaX is specially suited for low dose pediatrics and, combined with the 50 µm pixel size, also for high-resolution mammography.

 

PCR Eleva CosimaX supports a wide range of applications:

  • Intensive care units, where free exposure techniques and fast image transmissions are required
  • Trauma departments, where fast and simple operations and initial on-screen findings are required due to time constraints
  • Pediatrics, where low dose is required
  • Orthopedics, where long image formats are required
  • Mammography, where high-resolution imaging is required
  • General X-ray, with its wide range of projections and diagnostic requirements

 

 

Possible department setups

 

Central reader setup
In the central reader setup one high performance multi-slot reader is centrally placed in the X-ray department. Several PCR Eleva workspots, being connected with the reader, are located in the individual X-ray rooms. That way you have the patient information and the processed clinical images where you need them – in the examination room.

 

 

Cluster of several PCR Eleva systems
In addition, you can cluster your readers so that they can be used from each workspot in the cluster. Images will be shown on the workspot that initiates the examination and all other readers can serve as alternate readouts or backups, giving you more flexibility.


The PCR Eleva CosimaX system consists of:

  • A four-slot image plate reader
  • One or more PCR Eleva workspots
