X-ray fluoroscopy and 3D mapping are the most commonly used tools for guiding complex electrophysiology (EP) interventions. However, both tools have their limitations. Philips EP navigator visualizes 3D cardiac anatomy and the position of catheters, in real time, in one image, in the EP interventional lab. This information can help you carry out complex EP procedures with greater confidence, in a more intuitive way.
Perform EP interventions with greater confidence
- Carry out mapping procedures with more confidence
- Get to anatomical areas that are difficult to see with greater confidence
- Perform EP interventions when you do not have access to mapping
- Use a pre-interventional CT image or an up-to-date 3D rotational angiography right in the EP lab
- Look inside the left atrium with EndoView for enhanced catheter guidance
View 3D heart contours and catheters in real-time during EP interventions
EP navigator provides a 3D image of the heart based on either a pre-interventional CT image or an actual rotational angiography image with contrast media taken during the procedure in the EP lab. This image of the patient’s cardiac anatomy is combined with live fluoro data to show you the exact position of catheters in relation to the detailed 3D anatomy of the heart during EP interventions.

Supports you in reducing procedure time and X-ray dose in the EP lab Due to the complexity of the anatomy and the lack of integrated tools, EP interventions are very time-consuming and usually last several hours. EP navigator is designed to help you optimize your EP lab workflow and enhance procedure efficiency. Easier navigation allows you to reduce procedure time. Shorter procedures reduce the use of contrast medium and radiation exposure for staff and patients. | |
