PROVIDING SERVICE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE YOU NEED AND EXPECT
Standard
Outside the U.S. and Canada, the standard warranty for HeartStart XL is a one-year On-site Service program. For one year from the date of shipment, Philips will repair the HeartStart XL at your location. Check with your local Philips sales representative for the availability of on-site service in your area.
Optional
To lengthen the coverage period, you may purchase a warranty extension of either one, two, or four years (for a maximum of five years coverage from date of purchase). Your warranty extension selection must be made with the purchase of the HeartStart XL.
North America (U.S. and Canada only) |
Standard
In North America, the standard warranty for HeartStart XL is the five-year Unit Exchange program, in which a non-working defibrillator may be returned to Philips for a replacement unit.
Optional
If you prefer on-site repair, you may substitute the standard five-year Unit Exchange program for the one-year On-site Service program. On-site service, requested through our Medical Response Center, is provided by an authorized Philips service representative. Our Medical Response Center is staffed by specialists, who can help you diagnose and, in some cases, resolve the problem over the phone.
You may extend the initial one-year On-site program by one, two, or four years by selecting additional warranty coverage at the time of purchase (for a maximum of five years coverage from date of purchase).
For qualified U.S. customers, Philips offers a five-year BioMedical Warranty, in place of the standard five-year Unit Exchange program. The BioMedical Warranty program is a cooperative relationship between Philips and your in-house biomedical engineering staff for servicing the HeartStart XL. The Medical Response Center provides replacement parts and technical assistance, while the in-house biomedical engineer repairs and maintains the defibrillator. In addition to replacement parts and technical assistance, your biomedical engineers receive computer-based training and education from Philips.
Certain restrictions and qualifications apply to the BioMedical Warranty, so contact your Philips sales representative for details.
Your HeartStart XL warranty, backed by Philips sales and technical support personnel, is your best resource when problems arise. Your Philips representative can help you choose the appropriate warranty program for your specific needs from our portfolio of offerings.
