Workshop: | Ultrasound for Pain Medicine Workshop | | Description: | This is a 2-day intensive ultrasound workshop offered to physicians who wish to learn ultrasound guided nerve block procedures for chronic pain management. At the end of this introductory course, participants would have acquired a thorough knowledge of ultrasound imaging and needling techniques for chronic block procedures. Prior experience with some basic chronic pain block procedures and ultrasound-guided technical skills is an asset but not mandatory. Participants with no experience in ultrasound are required to participate in a 2 hour basic workshop on Friday evening before the programs begin. + Read the daily schedule | Objectives: | The course will cover a number of selected nerve block procedures for chronic pain management involving neuraxial, peripheral nerve and soft tissue structures. They are: - Ilioinguinal, iliohypogastric nerve injection
- Intercostal nerve block
- Suprascapular nerve injection
- Piriformis muscle injection and pudendal nerve injection
- Cervical sympathetic (stellate ganglion) block
- Occipital nerve block
- Lumbosacral and caudal spine imaging and injection
- Ultrasound guided Musculoskeletal injection
