The environmental impact, measured with EcoScan, is reduced overall by 42%. | V8-4 Ultrasound Transducer |  | Improved user comfort The V8-4 Ultrasound Transducer is a mechanically driven ultrasound transducer that allows for ergonomic, real time 3D image acquisition. Changing the drive mechanism significantly impacted the device weight and performance. Relative to its predecessor, the V8-4’s handheld portion weighs 57% less and the entire device is 17% lighter, while field of view increased by 20%. Energy consumption was reduced by 30% and hazardous materials content was reduced by 8%. The environmental impact, measured with EcoScan, is reduced overall by 20%. |
