We, at Philips, are devoted to patient-centric care.
Our efforts in oncology are characterized by innovative tools for clinicians that result in sensible, thoughtful care for patients.
Our state-of-the-art products and solutions can assist in cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
Here’s how they can help you:
Ambient Experience
Visiting the hospital for any exam, routine or otherwise, can be a stressful experience. We’ve taken the traditional imaging examination and turned it on its head. Welcome to a more calming, comforting ‘Ambient Experience.’
Breast Ultrasound
This simple, efficient and cost-effective tool is a strong adjunct to traditional mammography – especially when a mammogram shows something suspicious. Sonographers are the specially trained professionals who do this imaging. We help make imaging easier for them.
Computer Assisted Detection (CAD) Chest
Healthcare is going digital. Combine our digital chest X-ray system with our special CAD chest software (and UNIQUE image processing) and doctors have a new tool to help them visualize different types of pulmonary lesions and nodules. Early detection means early treatment.
Image Guided Adaptive Radiation Therapy (IGART)
Delivering targeted radiation therapy to a tumor may help kill it. But a tumor deep inside your body moves as your organs do. IGART combines hardware and software innovations to help keep track of the tumor’s position over the course of therapy, keeping radiation away from healthy tissue.
Virtual Colonoscopy
A ‘virtual’ colonoscopy is a new, non-invasive option to the standard ‘optical’ colonoscopy. It can provide information to help your doctor decide if you have a healthy colon or need more tests done.
Digital Mammography
Digital mammography offers several benefits. The digital X-rays can be read faster, easily shared and are of exceptional quality. And according to the National Cancer Society*, the results of a 2005 study published in the New England Journal or Medicine suggest that while digital mammography and film-based mammography have very similar accuracy, digital mammography may be particularly beneficial to certain women.
